Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress, best known for the films Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her career began in the late 1980s, and rose into prominence thanks to her character in the Tezaab film, in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapoor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she started learning dancing at a young age. She started acting when an infant and was struggling for several years because most of her initial films were flops. Eventually she became one the top actresses from Indian films. The actress took a hiatus from her profession due to her marriage, before going back to the entertainment industry. In recent times, she was in a prominent performance on the film Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit is nominated to win 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Her social work is also popular.
