Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop and flamenco singer. Since she was a teenager Rosalia has explored the outskirts of traditional and pop music. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, yet with the bite of older singers. El Mal Querer was her major commercial and critical breakthrough in 2018. Following the release of Los Angeles garnered her attention and a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist, it topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she won a Grammy. The hit single La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami, her third album included songwriting collaborations with Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following the Saturday Night Live performance featuring the song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish soloist to appear on Saturday Night Live. Motomami Rosala as well as winning three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award twice, was the first woman ever to receive both awards.
