Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him enter mainstream Latin music. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN as his debut full-length album. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. Vaina Loca is one of the Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. He collaborated together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and the following year dropped his sophomore album charting Dopamina. Then in 2021 he sang a duet on the TINI streaming hit single Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo has an instrumental background. Both his mother and elder brother are also musicians. In interviews, Turizo declared that music is an essential part of his life. In his early years, he learned to play saxophone guitar the ukulele, and piano. His initial goal was becoming a vet, his brother Julian convinced him to take singing lessons with the help of a Cuban teacher. The end outcome of discovering his talents as a performer changed the direction of his life.
