Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. As a student and being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. Following her move from Mexico to the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in classical Latin American music at private performances. In addition to being a local performer and instructor and instructor, her passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana is also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially for the young generation, for keeping this music alive.
